Kyrgyzstan's farmers provided with elite cattle breeding material free of charge

On the initiative of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, 60 million soms have been allocated from the state budget to implement a program aimed at improving the quality of cattle.

As part of the project, farmers are provided with breeding material for artificial insemination free of charge from elite and elite-record bulls — Aberdeen Angus, Simmental, Swiss, and Holstein breeds. This initiative is intended to enhance the genetic potential of herds and increase productivity.

According to the ministry’s press service, the quantity of breeding material is limited. Farmers are advised to contact their local aiyl okmotu (village administrations) or district veterinary departments for more information.
