A magnitude 3 earthquake hit the Kyrgyz Republic today at 11:23 a.m. local time. The Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences reported.
According to preliminary data, the earthquake’s epicenter was located on the border of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, 17 kilometers southeast of the village of Achyk-Suu, 124 kilometers southwest of Osh.
The tremors in Achyk-Suu measured magnitude 2.5.
