Night fire in Kok-Moinok extinguished

In the early hours of February 4, a fire broke out in the village of Kok-Moinok-2, part of the city of Balykchy, along the roadside where dry grass caught fire. According to rescue services, the fire was fully extinguished by 1.05 a.m.

Preliminary reports indicate that the fire affected approximately 2 hectares. Four yurts and two metal market kiosks located along the road were destroyed.

Two fire brigades were involved in extinguishing the blaze: the first arrived at 10.30 p.m., the second at 11.09 p.m.

No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
